Get to know the wonderful staff at Twain Harte Lake.
We are pleased to announce that we have hired Lauren Gerber as Lake Director. Some of you may know Lauren from her days as a Lifeguard/Head Lifeguard at Twain Harte Lake from 1999 to 2005. She graduated from Summerville High and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where she swam for the mustangs and majored in Kinesiology. After 4 years working in physical therapy she was given the opportunity to return to her first love and became Aquatics Director for Bret Harte Union High School District in Angels Camp where she has been for the last six years. She enthusiastically accepted the position and began her work on November 7th, 2016
Dennis Wyckoff is the Facilities Manager for Twain Harte Lake Association.
He started here in 1995, worked as General Manager until 2017 and continues to assist our Lake Director and care for the lake in many ways.
In 1973, Dennis was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys. He played for one year and then sustained a major injury to his neck. Starting a new chapter of his life, he returned to the University of Hawaii, receiving his degree in Health & Physical Education. He then moved to Twain Harte in 1985 where he taught and coached Health Education at Summerville High School.
Dennis has two grown children who reside in Twain Harte. He has been blessed with two young granddaughters and a grandson who love playing at the Lake.
The Lifeguard staff at Twain Harte Lake are Red Cross Professional Rescuer certified. They are there to keep you safe. They do so by enforcing rules, performing regular maintenance, and conducting ongoing training and inservices. They can also help with all first aid needs and any questions regarding the facility and rules.
Gatehouse Staff welcome you to the Lake and carefully tracks gate admissions and enforces rules. In addition to providing miscellaneous information, Gatehouse Staff can assist you with the Lake "toys" ... water bikes, stand up paddle boards, ping pong equipment, etc
